CITRUS SPRINGS SURVEILLANCE UNIT, INC
Because of budget cuts, the Sheriff''s River Region Community Resource
Office has permanently closed. Due to this, Citrus Springs Surveillance Unit
no longer has an office at that location. All calls requesting a watch on
your property in Citrus Springs by the Surveillance Unit should be made to
the Sheriff's Beverly Hill's Office. A volunteer will take your information
and forward to our unit.
The new number is 746-3484.
The closing of this office has made a different phone number necessary.
There have been no other changes in the functioning of the unit. Your
friends and neighbors are still the people driving the Sheriff's car and
patrolling the street of Citrus Springs. Your homes and businesses are still
being checked while you are out of town. We still help at your parades and
local functions. We will continue do our best to serve the community.
The unit is operated entirely by volunteers. We do need more members. Please
come visit our unit at our monthly meeting, held every third Wednesday
(10:00 a.m.) at the Community Center. You will meet a lot of very nice civic
minded people and if you are new to the area you will learn about our area.
For more information: call Stan Miller, Vice Commander at 489-1155
